Tsunami Girl - Reading Loving

“THE TSUNAMI GIRL – Episode 1”
by RR Kane

Misuki was a young girl from a fishing village. She was 12 years old when both of her parents died because of a sudden, terrible tsunami. Her horrible aunt took charge of the little girl and put her to work as a servant in her house. Every day Misuki had to work very, very hard, and her aunt was never satisfied with her. Her aunt also had a daughter, named Yoshi, who was jealous of Misuki and always tried to hurt her or get her into trouble.
On the morning of Misuki’s 13th birthday, the horrible aunt took her to the market to carry all the shopping, and on the way there they met a woman named, Kimani, who seemed very kind and looked very beautiful. The woman looked at Misuki and asked her aunt if she was willing to let the little girl come to her house for a day, to help her prepare things for a big party.
Misuki’s aunt agreed, which made the little girl really happy, and so she followed Miss Kimani home. The house was amazing, red and gold, built like a pagoda and with three tall stories. It was on the shore of a small lake, surrounded by tall trees and a beautiful garden. Once they arrived, Miss Kimani asked Misuki to sit in front of her and told her a very strange story.
It was the story of a fabulous jewel that had been lost long ago, on a far away mountain, by a witch. It was blue in colour and people called it “The Water Gem” because it had been lost during a tsunami. Miss Kimani told the girl that the jewel was very precious, and that whoever possessed it, would be very rich and powerful.
“Why don’t people look for it, then?” – asked Misuki.
“Many people have looked for it, but an old legend says that only a 13-years-old girl with a pure heart may find it, and so far no one has succeeded.
“I am 13 years old!” – exclaimed Misuki.
“Yes, you are, and you also seem to have a pure heart. That is why I brought you here.”
“Me? Do you think I could find the diamond?”
“I am sure you could, but first I would have to convince your aunt to let you leave her house…”
“She will NEVER let me go.” – said Misuki, with tears in her eyes.
“She will, if I offer her enough money.” – replied the woman.
“Do you mean to say that I will come to live here, with you?”
“Of course!” – replied the lady – “Would you like that?”
“Yes please!” – replied the little girl softly.
“Then let us concentrate on preparing for the party, now.”
That afternoon, Misuki worked very hard, but she did it so happily that she didn’t feel tired at all.

All she could think was coming to live with Miss Kimani, who was kind and beautiful…

[to be continued]

Think about This:
Will you accept the life the God gives you? just like what happens to Misuki..
Can you guess and suggest what would happen next?
